Work Light Productions

________

Work Light Productions is a creator and producer of live theatre. We believe in the power of live performance to bring people together, to entertain and to transform. In a world of endless digital diversions, we strive to create meaningful opportunities for people to share experiences. We are dedicated to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace that values every member of our team - from our producing and management staff to the creative teams, actors, musicians, stage managers, company managers, and technicians that we employ on each production.

The roots of WLP go back to 2005 when founder Stephen Gabriel produced his first theatre for young audiences tour that brought thousands of kids and families together across the U.S. WLP was formed in 2008 when his partner, Nancy Gabriel, joined him in producing its first large-scale tour of Avenue Q, and an office was opened in Summit, NJ. From there the company grew to produce national tours of In the Heights, Green Day’s American Idiot, Mamma Mia!, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, Rent, Motown the Musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, Ain’t Too ProudMrs. Doubtfire, Company, and many others. WLP also develops original work, including the stage adaptation of Clue, one of the top-licensed plays in the U.S. In 2016, WLP opened a production office in Charleston, SC led by Rhys Williams, Vice President of Production. WLP is proud to manage every aspect of its shows, from Producing to Technical Production to General Management.
